APALM is a dynamic community of physician associates invested in healthcare safety, clinical risk mitigation, and the role of PAs in legal medicine. Our purpose is to:
• educate the PA community on malpractice liability & risk management.
• serve the legal community through medical consultation & expert witness work.
• provide a space for PAs with an interest in legal medicine to network and collaborate.
Our Mission Statement
APALM, as a constituent organization of the AAPA, aims to establish physician associates as leaders at the intersection of healthcare and law, with an emphasis on patient safety, ethical standards, and quality of care through education, service, and collaboration.
Becoming A Member
We encourage AAPA fellow members to join us in striving toward our vision of becoming the foremost authority on behalf of the PA profession within legal medicine.
We also welcome PA students, other healthcare providers, and members of the legal community who support PAs and who share in our mission.
